TOPCATS CONTEST SEASON

The Topcats Dance Team recently competed at the American Dance/Drill Team North Texas Regional Competition in Rockwall, TX. This was the first of their three spring competitions and the team brought home the following awards: Division 1 ratings on all team events, resulting in a Sweepstakes Award; the Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence for high scores in all three team events; the Dr. Irving Dreibrodt Award for top scores in their Team Military routine; Best In Class Winner for Medium Teams; Best In Class Winner for Medium Ensembles and Best Overall Choreography.

Senior Dance Officers Hanna Moore and Sydney Watson won Best In Class Duet. Senior Hanna Moore, freshman Tristen Camp and freshman Alex Cole were awarded Division 1 ratings for their solos
Hanna Moore won 1st place/Best Overall Soloist for the high school teams attending. The team is under the direction of Miriam Vera.
