I teaches the foundations for all further Art courses. It
introduces all materials used in Art.
Ceramics
Ceramics
is a 3D-class. Different types of clay are used and different
techniques for hand building and wheel-throwing are taught.
Sculpture
Sculpture
is a 3D-class. A great variety of materials are used to create
sculptures.
Painting
Painting
is a 2D-class. A variety of painting techniques are explored
along with different subject matters and paint.
Drawing Drawing
includes drawing from direct observations, learning to shade
and learning to draw 3D-objects as well as drawing in perspective.

Drawing
Portfolio: A drawing portfolio is developed which includes a variety
of quality work. The work is sent to the college board to
be evaluated.
2D Portfolio: 2D Portfolio includes
graphic design, drawing, lettering, and photography as well
as painting and design. The work is sent to the college board
to be evaluated.
3D Portfolio: 3D Portfolio includes
ceramic pieces, as well as jewelry and sculpture. The work
is sent to the college board to be evaluated.
