Don't forget to set up your account through the
PROGRESS REPORTS
Progress reports are
issued every three weeks. Be sure to check your student’s
report, as there is still time for improvement when the reports
are issued. E-mail is a convenient way to contact teachers and
counselors; their addresses, and other useful information, can
be found on our website (http://tchs.lisd.net)
ESEMBLER
(on-line grading) TCHS is once again participating in
the on-line “grade access.” This system allows parents
to monitor their student’s grades on a weekly basis versus
waiting for the three-week progress reports to be issued. The
on-line grading system is a fantastic tool, and we encourage parents
to use it regularly AND stay in contact with teachers with any
concerns or comments. Instructions can be found on our LISD website
under the Parents/Students link. Research has shown that when
parents are regularly involved with their child’s education,
grades improve.

Selective Service System
The
Selective Service System's High School Registrar Program provides
an avenue for young men to be made aware of the Federal law requiring
them to register with the Selective Service within 30 days of
their 18th. By registering, not only are they in compliance with
the law but remain eligible for benefits associated with the registration,
such as students loan and grants, job training, Federal and some
state jobs, and if they are immigrants or have a US citizenship.
The registration process has been made easier via the Internet
at www.sss.gov or by completing
a registration form. |
