Welcome to The Colony High School. We are proud of the students and faculty who all work diligently together to create an atmosphere of acceptance, teamwork and excellence. Our motto posted throughout the school states: “Believe it...Achieve it…See the ‘E’” This is a shorter version of our school philosophy statement:

the only way we can truly achieve greatness.
High academic standards and expectations are critical elements in our school’s success plan. We encourage students to challenge themselves both academically and personally to achieve. From Advanced Placement to Resource Special Education classes, we encourage students to succeed and to explore knowledge beyond the classroom. We want students at The Colony High School to be involved in the learning process. Our open enrollment policy, the only requirement being a willingness to accept a challenge, in Advanced Placement classes is testament to this philosophy.
In addition to encouraging students to get involved academically, we strongly encourage them to be involved in other areas of the total high school experience. Whether a student is competing in athletics, band, orchestra, choir, theater, or our academic decathlon, we know that involvement is a key element to their enjoyment of school and their ultimate achievement of greatness. The faculty is a hard working and dedicated group of individuals who are committed to providing an environment conducive to success. The key to this success is our focus on developing genuinely good people…our future leaders.
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of this school. The students and faculty are the best around. Students exhibit school sprit, the Cougar Spirit, unrivaled by any student body in any school in the Metroplex. Our students persevere no matter what the challenge is and put their best foot forward in any arena in which they compete.
